"Wszystkim miłośnikom Francji i języka francuskiego polecam pobyt w Valorme. Foix i okolice to rejon bogaty w atrakcje, od prehistorycznych grot i średniowiecznych twierdz, do festiwali muzycznych i filmowych. Zajęcia są dopasowane do indywidualnych potrzeb i zainteresowań.

I most enthusiastically recommend Valorme with Corine Rouleau. I am an intermediate level student of French lacking a proficiency in many of the finer points of the language. Corine was able to clear up many of these difficulties for me and in a way that I will remember. In addition, the unique structure of the course with conversational lunches and fascinating excursions greatly enhanced my two weeks at Valorme.

It is obvious that Corine is a seasoned teacher; her preparation is meticulous, her method varied and creative and her manner warm and encouraging.
Foix is an unspoilt, animated town, itself today a rarity. In addition Valorme provides excursions into the countryside both cultural and sporting. For me, myself well-traveled, the school and Foix are this side of the Pyrenees, this side of Paradise.

I wanted to thank you for the fabulous 3 weeks I spent at your school. The weeks were structured perfectly with formal classroom lessons in the morning, lunch with you at one of the many fabulous little restaurants in Foix and I particularly enjoyed the many adventures we had in the afternoon, from discovering the idyllic forgotten chateau of Roquefort to wine tasting and visiting the local grottes. A perfect way to learn French whilst enjoying the many things the area has to offer. I highly recommend a day of snow shoeing and skiing at Ax-Les-Thermes in the winter months to any other students!

V poledne následuje společný oběd a odpoledne společný výlet (do Pyrenejí, prohlídka jeskyně s kresbami starými cca.
A tady to funguje úplně stejně.

I spent 2 weeks in Valorme. When I came there I was hardly able to say a sentence or answer some questions, because I had to translate everything into my mother tongue. You come across the French at this course from morning till evening…
All the time Corine wants you to say something and answer her questions. Answer “yes/no” is not sufficient. Mornings you spent at the classroom; all the unknown vocabulary is written at the flip chart, Corine corrects your mistakes in grammar and based on that afterwards explains related grammatical problems. You’re watching video and discussing for example News and Weather Forecast. At noon you have together lunch and then you spend all together afternoon (you go into Pyrenees, you can visit a cave with about 14 thousands years old pictures or an old gothic town Mirepoix etc.). Corine knows the surrounding very well so there’s a lot you can choose for visit. As well as during lunch also during any visit or trip, all the time you come across the French. There are many books of different difficulties in the classroom, magazines for foreigners studying French, dictionaries that you can borrow.
Corine and Alain are very nice people. They’re very helpful to give you also good tips where to spend your weekends.
During 2 weeks I spent in Valorme, my vocabulary had been extended enormously and first of all I started to talk, so already at the second week I could speak with people, quickly answer their questions, communicate during shopping… Simply I have started to think at French. At the course you can see a big Corine’s experience in teaching foreigners. It’s similar when a small child “learns” his mother tongue. There’s also all the time somebody talking to him and asking him for something. And the child, without recognize it, “absorbs” the language into his mind and learns the language. So it’s the same at Valorme.

Thank you so much for a happy time in Foix and for your help with my French.
Because of the course I now know exactly what I want to do with my French
